~春~ ４月〜５月のガイドパターン
Guide Patterns for April to May
春季 4月至5月的指导模式
北海道では”早春”となる４月。。 ニセコ/積丹エリアでのレインボーの釣りが始まる。 未だ雪解けの水で本流域は大増水しているため、この時期に関してはボートではなく歩いてポイントを拾ってゆくスタイルが中心。 ウェットフライを使用した#６くらいのスイッチロッドでの釣りが楽しい。 ルアーでも不可能ではないが状況的にどちらかというとフライ‥ それもドライフライではなくウェットフライの釣りだ。 場所がニセコ/積丹エリアとなり、札幌や小樽・ニセコからも近いため１日からの気軽なガイドオファーができるのは良いことだ。 北海道ではちょうどこの春のタイミングはこれから産卵に参加する大型個体の”移動”する時期となっている。 日毎の川の水量や水色を勘案してガイドが最適なポイントを選び出してくれる。
In April, which marks early spring in Hokkaido, the season for rainbow trout fishing begins in the Niseko/Shakotan area. Since the main river systems are still experiencing high water levels due to snowmelt, fishing during this period primarily involves wading to carefully select productive spots rather than using boats. This style of fishing is particularly enjoyable with a #6 switch rod and wet flies. Although lure fishing is not impossible, given the conditions, fly fishing — specifically wet fly fishing rather than dry — tends to be more effective.
The Niseko/Shakotan area is conveniently located near Sapporo, Otaru, and Niseko itself, making it easy to offer guided trips even for just a single day. In Hokkaido, this spring period coincides with the migration of large rainbow trout preparing for spawning. Based on daily changes in water levels and clarity, guides can select the optimal fishing spots for a rewarding experience.

５月上旬になると、道南方面でのドリフトボートからのキャスティングによるパターンも始まるため、ルアーフィッシング専門ならここから開始と思えば良い。 ニセコ/積丹エリアでもいいし道南１区でも良い。どちらの場合でも５月はドリフトボートとなるので大きな違いはない。 この時期のニジマスは産卵後の個体が釣れ始める。 食い気はあるものの引きの方は個体が細いのも目立つため真夏や秋ほどの強烈なファイトには及ばない。 ニジマス自体の産卵期というのは北海道の中でも春だったり秋だったりと地域差があるようだが… この地域に関しては春だ。 ルアーは５gくらいのスプーンなどを用意すればよい。
In early May, the casting pattern using drift boats begins in the southern Hokkaido region, making it a good starting point for lure fishing enthusiasts. Both the Niseko/Shakotan area and Southern Hokkaido District 1 are suitable options. In either case, drift boats are the primary method in May, so there isn’t a significant difference between the two regions.
During this time, post-spawning rainbow trout begin to be caught. While they are willing to bite, these fish often appear slimmer, and their fight is not as intense as it is in midsummer or autumn.
The spawning season for rainbow trout varies depending on the region in Hokkaido—sometimes in spring, sometimes in autumn. However, for this region, spawning occurs in spring.
For lures, it’s best to have spoons around 5g ready.
到了5月上旬，北海道道南地区的漂流船抛投钓法也开始了，因此如果专注于路亚钓，这个时间是个不错的开始。无论是二世谷/积丹地区还是道南第一区都可以，这个时期都是漂流船钓法，所以两者并没有太大区别。
这个时期，开始能钓到产卵后的虹鳟鱼。这些鱼虽然有吃饵的意愿，但因为个体偏瘦，拉力不像盛夏或秋季时那样强劲。

早春４月のニセコ近郊のトラウトストリーム。。 小さな流れに思いもよらず大型の個体が入っていて驚く。 ウェットフライを使用したフライフィッシングが最適となる。 まだまだ寒冷な時期でもあり水温は7度にも満たないこともあるため服装には注意した方がいい。 ウェーダー越しに伝わってくる水の冷たさは… 推して知るべし。 こんな様相であればブーツのソールはフェルトじゃない方が良いに決まっている。 ビブラムソールなどが最適だが、KAMUYのプライベートガイドではブーツソールを交換できる構造を持ったウェーディングブーツを用意すればよく、数多のKAMUY会員やリピーターたちもみなそうしたブーツを使っている。 ボートだ歩きだと… 特に天候によっては直前であっても行き先や手段が変更になるものだから、装備にはそうした変更に即座に対応できるものが最も適しているというわけである。
In early April, the trout streams near Niseko come to life. It's surprising to find unexpectedly large fish in such small streams. Wet fly fishing is the most suitable method during this time. Since the weather is still cold and the water temperature may not even reach 7°C, it's important to pay attention to your clothing.
The cold of the water seeping through the waders speaks for itself. In these conditions, it's better not to use felt-soled boots. Vibram soles, for example, are ideal. During KAMUY private guided tours, it's recommended to have wading boots with interchangeable soles, and many KAMUY members and repeat visitors use such boots.
Whether by boat or on foot, the weather can change suddenly, sometimes altering destinations or methods even at the last minute. Therefore, gear that can adapt quickly to such changes is the most suitable choice.
早春四月，在二世谷附近的鳟鱼溪流中，常常会惊讶地发现，在小小的水流中竟然潜藏着大型的鱼群。这个时节，最适合使用湿式飞蝇进行飞蝇钓。由于天气仍然寒冷，水温可能还不到7°C，因此需要格外注意穿着保暖。
通过涉水裤传来的水的寒冷……不言而喻。在这样的环境下，靴底最好不要使用毡底。选择维布拉姆（Vibram）鞋底是最理想的。在KAMUY的私人向导活动中，建议准备可以更换靴底的涉水靴，很多KAMUY会员和回头客都使用这样的靴子。
无论是坐船还是徒步，特别是在天气变化无常的情况下，目的地或钓法可能会在出发前临时更改。因此，能够灵活应对这些变化的装备才是最合适的选择。
５月に入ってからできるようになるドリフトボートからのキャスティングは自分だけの釣り場貸切の感覚がたまらない。 ニセコでも道南でもどちらでもできるので自分の行動範囲と釣りのために許された時間の両面から考慮して選べば良いだろう。 こうしたボートからのフライのキャスティングも不可能ではないが要求される技術がそれなりに高いので… 注意した方が良い。 生半可な腕前では… せっかくの良い釣りのチャンスを自ら台無しにしてしまうということを忘れないこと！ ガイド付きの釣りというのは基本的に「 釣りの練習をするための時間 」ではない。 魚を釣るための時間なのだから。。
The experience of casting from a drift boat in May, with the feeling of having your own private fishing spot, is simply unbeatable. Whether you choose Niseko or Southern Hokkaido, the decision should be based on your available fishing time and the range of your travel plans.
Casting a fly from a boat is possible, but it requires a certain level of skill, so caution is necessary. Remember, if your technique is mediocre, you risk ruining an excellent fishing opportunity by your own hand!
A guided fishing trip is not intended as a “practice session.” It is time dedicated to catching fish.
五月开始，漂流船上的抛投钓法让人感受到独占整个钓场的快感，实在令人着迷。无论是在二世谷还是道南，都可以进行这种钓法，因此可以根据自己的活动范围和可用于钓鱼的时间来选择合适的地点。
从船上进行飞蝇抛投虽然并非不可能，但需要相当高的技术，因此要特别注意。如果技术不到家，别忘了，你可能会亲手毁掉难得的好钓机会！
要记住，带向导的钓鱼活动，基本上不是“用来练习钓鱼的时间”，而是“用来钓鱼的时间”。
~初夏~ ６月〜７月のガイドパターン
Guide Patterns for June to July
初夏 6月至7月的指导模式
ニセコ/積丹エリアでは６月中旬からいよいよ本流での流水のドリフトボートが本格化する。 道南１区に関しても５月から引き続きキャスティングの釣りが可能。 また十勝では６月下旬あたりからが本流ドリフトの良い時期が始まる… と６月というのは人間も行動しやすいうえに釣りも一気に盛り上がる季節である。 十勝に関しては催行日数が３日間以上からの受付となるので気軽さには欠けるかもしれないが十勝本流の流域の広さとも相まって魅力的なエリアだ。 対してニセコ/積丹、道南１区ともに１日からの受付ができるのでこちらはよりカジュアルであるといえる。 本流の深い川底にいるニジマスは大型の個体が多く、特にドリフトボートの釣りではそうした一般的に岸釣りではどうしようもなく狙うことのできない魚にルアーを直接送り届けることができる。
In the Niseko/Shakotan area, drift boat fishing on the flowing main rivers kicks into full swing from mid-June. In Southern Hokkaido District 1, casting from a drift boat continues to be possible starting in May. Meanwhile, in Tokachi, the prime season for main river drift boat fishing begins in late June. June is a season when both weather conditions and fishing opportunities reach their peak, making it an exciting time for anglers.
For Tokachi, bookings require a minimum of three days, which may make it less convenient. However, the vastness of the Tokachi main river system makes it an incredibly attractive area. In contrast, both Niseko/Shakotan and Southern Hokkaido District 1 offer one-day bookings, making these areas more casual and accessible.
Rainbow trout in the deep sections of the main rivers tend to be large, and drift boat fishing allows you to deliver lures directly to these fish—something that is usually impossible when fishing from the shore.
在二世谷/积丹地区，6月中旬开始，主流河川的漂流船钓法将全面展开。在道南第一区，从5月起就可以继续进行漂流船抛投钓鱼。此外，十胜地区在6月下旬左右迎来主流漂流船钓鱼的最佳时机。6月是气候宜人、人们行动便利，钓鱼也变得热闹非凡的季节。
十胜地区的预约要求至少3天，因此相对来说可能不够方便，但由于十胜主流河川流域广阔，这里依然是非常有魅力的区域。相比之下，二世谷/积丹和道南第一区提供1天起的预约，因此这些地区更加轻松随意。
在主流河川深处的河底，栖息着许多大型虹鳟。尤其是在漂流船钓鱼中，可以将路亚直接投送到那些岸边无法触及的目标鱼群，这正是漂流船钓法的魅力所在。
６月のニセコ/積丹エリアでのドリフトボート。。 ウェットフライのスイングで良型がヒット。 うまくパターンを当てるとグッドサイズのレインボーが連続ヒットする。 ６月ということもあり北海道も流石に日中は暖かく服装はこんな感じで良い。 使用されているロッドはOPST#6 Pureskagit ラインはやはりOPST Commandsmoothの３００グレインを使用。 スカジットティップ OPST 10ft 80グレイン ”Bucket＂ となっている。 フライはガイドに選んでもらうといい。
In the Niseko/Shakotan area during June, a drift boat outing... Good-sized trout are hitting on the swing with a wet fly. When you match the pattern well, you can experience consecutive hits of good-sized rainbows. Given that it's June, Hokkaido is warm during the daytime, and this attire is suitable.
The rod used is the OPST #6 Pureskagit, paired with the OPST Commando Smooth 300-grain line. The Skagit tip is the OPST 10ft 80-grain "Bucket." It's best to have the guide select the fly for you.
在6月的二世谷/积丹地区漂流船活动中……使用湿式飞蝇摆动法可以钓到大鱼。如果能找到合适的飞蝇模式，就会连续钓到优质的虹鳟鱼。由于是6月，北海道白天也相当温暖，这样的服装就很合适。
使用的鱼竿是 OPST #6 Pureskagit，钓线是 OPST Commando Smooth 300粒。斯卡吉特前导线为 OPST 10英尺 80粒 “Bucket”。至于飞蝇，最好请向导来挑选。
６月下旬あたりから一気に良くなる十勝川本流。 流れは太く水深もある川なのでルアーとの相性は良い。 しかしながら… キャスティングで釣るのには相応の技量も必要である。 本流ドリフトのルアータックルは５～７フィート程度のごく一般的なトラウトロッドで良い。 川底の良型に狙いを絞るのであれば太いラインは使えないので、、その場合はナイロン１号～１.５号 根がかりとロストが激しいのでPEラインは使用せず。。 というのがこれを書いている２０２５年現在、ガイドをはじめ慣れたKAMUYリピーターの間ではもう「 常識 」となっている。 十勝エリアは３日間以上のエントリーから受け付けている。
The main stream of the Tokachi River begins to show significant improvement around late June. This river has a strong current and considerable depth, making it well-suited for lures. However, casting effectively here requires a certain level of skill.
For lure drifting in the main stream, a standard trout rod of about 5 to 7 feet is sufficient. If you're targeting large fish near the riverbed, you can't use thick lines. In this case, nylon lines between size 1 to 1.5 are recommended. Because snags and lure losses are frequent, PE lines are avoided.
As of 2025, this approach is already considered "common knowledge" among guides and experienced Kamuy repeat clients. Entries for the Tokachi area are accepted for bookings of 3 days or more.
从6月下旬开始，十胜川本流的鱼情会迅速变好。这条河流的水流湍急且水深较大，非常适合用拟饵钓鱼。不过，要想通过抛投钓法取得成功，需要具备一定的技术水平。
在本流漂流钓中，使用5到7英尺左右的标准鳟鱼竿就足够了。如果目标是河底的大鱼，就不能使用太粗的鱼线，这种情况下推荐使用1号到1.5号的尼龙线。由于容易挂底和损失拟饵，所以不建议使用PE线。
截至2025年，以上方法已成为向导和经验丰富的Kamuy回头客们公认的“常识”。十胜地区的预约需要3天或以上。
６月はじめごろの道南でのドリフトボート・キャスティング。 ルアーの場合基本的にシーズンを通してタックル構成はほとんど同じ。 強いて言えばドリフトの場合は乗船する人数によっては長すぎるロッドがお互いの存在が邪魔になってしまうため使えない。 写真のように３人で乗船してシェアするのであれば、全員が５フィートくらいの短いロッドを使うのが良いだろう。 ラインはやはりナイロン１号～１.５号 を７５mほど巻いておけばまず問題ない。 ドリフトボートの釣りでPEラインを使用するベテランはまずいない。 理由あってのことなので大人しく彼らにならうのが吉。
Drift boat casting in Southern Hokkaido around early June follows a fairly consistent tackle setup throughout the season when using lures. However, in drift boat situations, longer rods can become cumbersome, especially when there are multiple people on board.
If, for instance, three people are sharing the boat as shown in the picture, it's best for everyone to use shorter rods, around 5 feet. Spooling about 75 meters of nylon line in size 1 to 1.5 should be sufficient.
In drift boat fishing, veteran anglers rarely use PE lines. There's a good reason for this, so it's wise to follow their example.
在6月初的北海道道南地区进行漂流船抛投钓鱼时，使用拟饵的钓具配置基本上整个季节都差不多。需要注意的是，在漂流船上，如果乘船人数较多，过长的鱼竿会相互干扰，因此不适合使用。
像照片中这样3人共乘一艘船时，每人使用5英尺左右的短竿会更合适。鱼线方面，推荐使用1号到1.5号的尼龙线，卷上大约75米即可，基本不会有问题。
在漂流船钓鱼中，很少有经验丰富的钓手会使用PE线。这样做是有原因的，因此最好乖乖地向他们学习。
~盛夏~ ７月〜８月のガイドパターン

盛夏 7月至8月的指导模式
７月に入ると北海道も日中の最高気温が30度に届く日が出てくる。 そのため涼しい早朝の時間帯を中心に釣りを組み立てると良い。 早朝に釣りを始めてせいぜい９時くらいまでが狙うべき時間帯となっている。 ニセコ/積丹エリアではこの時期に海から遡上してきたと思しき個体こそ狙うべき「 ニジ 」となる。 ある英国のリピーターはこの時期にニセコに長期滞在してここぞというタイミングに狙いを絞ってボートガイドを使うという合理的なスタイルをとっているが‥ 結果は見事なものだった。 ネイティブの、、それもグッドサイズを狙うというのはそういうことである。 このレベルの釣りはもう日本人が考える釣りというよりは「 狩り 」であると心得るべし。
In July, even Hokkaido experiences days when daytime temperatures reach 30°C. Therefore, it's best to focus your fishing activities around the cool early morning hours. Starting early in the morning, the prime fishing window typically extends until around 9 a.m..
In the Niseko/Shakotan area during this season, the prime targets are the "Niji" (rainbow trout) that are believed to have migrated upstream from the sea. One British client, a repeat visitor, adopts a rational approach by staying in Nisekofor an extended period during this time and booking boat guides at just the right moments — with impressive results.
Targeting native fish, especially those of good size, demands this level of strategy. At this stage, this type of fishing is less about what most Japanese people would call fishing and more akin to "hunting."
进入7月后，北海道白天的最高气温有时也会达到30°C。因此，最好将钓鱼活动安排在凉爽的清晨时段。清晨开始钓鱼，最佳的时间段大概到9点左右为止。
在二世古/积丹地区，这个时节的目标是那些被认为是从海中溯游而上的虹鳟。有一位英国的常客选择在这段时间里长时间逗留在二世古，在合适的时机雇用船钓向导，这种合理的策略带来了令人惊叹的成果。
目标是原生并且体型硕大的鱼类，就需要这样的精心规划。达到这种水平的钓鱼，已经不再是大多数日本人所理解的“钓鱼”，而更像是**“狩猎”**。
明らかに海から遡上したと思われる個体。ニセコ/積丹エリアでの８月の釣果。 この体高でのファイトは推して知るべし。 この時のタックルも基本は同じで、５フィートのULのトラウトロッドにラインはナイロンの１号。 ４ポンドである。 新品の巻き替えたばかりのナイロンラインはこれ１尾を釣っただけでチリチリによれてしまった。。 近年のラインやリールの性能というのは驚くほど良くなったもの。。 一昔前ならばこのくらいの魚を相手にするにはゴツいロッドに太いラインというのが使われるのが普通であったが… 現在の最新のメソッドであるドリフトボートと最新鋭のタックルの組み合わせによってこれくらいの釣りができるようになった。 釣りも進化していると感じる。
A specimen clearly thought to have migrated upstream from the sea. This was a catch from the Niseko/Shakotan area in August. The fight with a fish of this body height speaks for itself. The tackle at the time was the same basic setup: a 5-foot UL trout rod with a nylon line of 1-gauge (4-pound test). The brand-new nylon line, freshly replaced, became completely twisted and curled after landing just this one fish.
The performance of modern lines and reels is truly astonishing. In the past, it was standard to use a sturdy rod and thick line for fish of this size. However, with the latest methods, such as drift boat fishing combined with state-of-the-art tackle, it has become possible to achieve this level of fishing. It really makes me feel that fishing is evolving.
明显是一条从海里溯游而来的个体。这是8月份在二世古/积丹地区的渔获。能够想象，与这样体高的鱼对抗是多么激烈的体验。当时使用的装备基本相同：5英尺的UL鳟鱼竿，1号尼龙线，也就是4磅线。刚刚换上的全新尼龙线，仅仅钓到这一条鱼，就已经完全变得卷曲打结了。
近年来，钓线和渔轮的性能实在是令人惊叹。如果是以前，要对付这种大小的鱼，通常需要用非常结实的鱼竿和粗线。然而，结合了漂流船和最新的高性能装备的现代钓鱼方法，现在已经可以做到这样的钓鱼体验了。我由此深感钓鱼正在不断进化。
７月の十勝川でのドリフトボート。 太く水量のある十勝川本流は水深も深いため真夏の暑い時期であっても良い釣りができるフィールドである。 ルアーでもフライでも思い思いの楽しみ方をすればよい。
十勝は３日間から利用できるのでどうしてもハードルは高くなってしまうかもしれないが… とにかく広大なのでむしろ３日位あってちょうど良いのかもしれない。 本流の上中流、規模の大きな支流筋、下流域と全ての流域に隈なくボートを通そうと思えば１週間あっても不足するくらいである。

The main stream of the Tokachi River, with its wide breadth and abundant water volume, offers an excellent fishing field even during the hot summer months due to its deep waters. Whether you prefer lures or flies, you can enjoy the experience in your own way.
While fishing in Tokachi requires a minimum of three days, which may seem like a high hurdle, the vastness of the area might actually make three days just right. Covering all sections of the river—from the upper and middle reaches of the main stream to its large tributaries and lower reaches—would require at least a week, and even that might not be enough.
7月份在十胜川进行漂流船钓。宽阔且水量充沛的十胜川本流，因为水深较深，即使是在炎热的仲夏季节，也是一片优秀的钓鱼场地。无论是用路亚还是飞蝇钓，都可以按照自己的喜好尽情享受。
十胜川的行程从三天起订，因此可能会让人觉得门槛稍高一些。不过，由于这里实在太广阔，三天的时间可能刚刚好。要想用船全面探索本流的上中游、大型支流以及下游的所有区域，即使是一周时间也可能显得不够。
８月のニセコ/積丹エリア。 鬱蒼としげる水中のバイカモの中に良型が潜む。。 こうした場所での釣り方は考え方が２通り。 一つは直接水中を狙う方法。 もう一つは水面まで魚を引き寄せて釣る方法。 前者ではスプーンやニンフを使い、後者ではミノーやドライフライを使うことが考えられる。 超大型の可能性が常にあるところだけに… いずれの場合もドキドキする。 ニセコ/積丹エリアでは１日からこのドリフトボートのガイドを利用することができるが、正直いってたった１日では勿体無い。 こうしたドリフトボートからのキャスティングの釣り。 ほとんど全ての人が初日はまず”体験” ２日目で”試行錯誤” …で３日目くらいでやっと釣りを理解するに至り、そこから腰を据えて「大物狙い」 …と徐々にスキルアップしてゆく。 何事もやはり場数を重ねることは重要だ。

There are two approaches to fishing in such spots. One is to target the fish directly underwater, and the other is to draw them to the surface and catch them there. For the former, spoons or nymphs are commonly used, while the latter involves minnows or dry flies. Since there’s always the possibility of encountering a trophy-sized fish here, either approach keeps your heart racing.
In the Niseko/Shakotan area, you can book a guided drift boat trip for as short as a single day. However, to be honest, one day feels insufficient. Casting from a drift boat is a unique experience. For most people, the first day is simply “getting the feel of it.” On the second day, it’s all about “trial and error.” By the third day, you finally start to grasp the essence of the fishing, allowing you to settle into a focused pursuit of big fish. Gradually, your skills improve.
In the end, as with anything, experience and repetition are key to mastery.

When the heat of midsummer sets in... even streams like these can hold quality rainbows. This is specific to the Niseko/Shakotan area, but spending time under a canopy of trees that shields you from the intense summer sun can be a refreshing change of pace.
In these situations, it’s a good idea to switch your boot soles to felt for better traction, allowing for safer and more confident fishing. The tackle used for drift boating can be repurposed for this kind of fishing.
Some people like to drift for one day and then head to a stream the next.
當盛夏的炎熱來臨時……在這樣的溪流中，有時也能遇到優質的虹鱒。這在二世古/積丹地區特別常見。在濃密的樹冠下躲避強烈的夏日陽光，換換心情也是不錯的選擇。

素晴らしいプロポーション。 ９月のニセコ/積丹エリア。 ドリフトボートからの「 キャスティング 」でこういう魚を釣るためにはそれなりの”時間”が必要だ。 それはなぜかといえば… 道具やボート機材がいくら進化したとはいっても、肝心の「 釣り人 」の方は人間であるため急激に何事もうまくできるようになるものではない。 実際のところドリフトボートからのキャスティングの釣りは初体験する人はまず初日で「 体験 」 となり、２日目ではこうしたものか、ああしたものかと首を捻りながら「 試行錯誤 」 が続く。。 悩みに悩み抜いて最終的にはガイドのアドバイスを理解した人たちが３日目あたりからやっとそれらしく「 釣り 」の体を成してくる… といった感じ。 人間が”技術”というものを身に付けるにはどうしても時間が必要なのである。 こうした流心の深い川底に潜むランカートラウトというのは食欲自体は旺盛である。 それであるが故の結果としての”大型化” なのだ。 つまりは、大型のトラウトというのは食欲旺盛であるがゆえに釣られやすい側面を持っているとも言いかえることができる。 水中での彼らの位置を正確にイメージしてそこに対して”的確に”ルアーなりフライを操作して送り込むことができればたちまち… ズドン！！ …である。 渓流をはじめ川でのトラウトの釣りを多少なりともやっている人たちであればぜひ誰もがトライしてみてほしい。

Catching a fish like this through "casting" from a drift boat requires a fair amount of time. Why? Because no matter how much fishing gear or boat equipment has advanced, the angler is still human, and humans don’t suddenly become skilled overnight.
For those new to casting from a drift boat, the first day is usually spent simply getting the feel of it. On the second day, they are left wondering, “Should I do this? Or maybe that?”—and trial and error continues. Only after wrestling with their uncertainties and gradually understanding the guide’s advice do most people finally begin to grasp the essence of fishing by the third day.
The fact is, it takes time for humans to acquire technical skills. These trophy trout lurking in the deep, fast currents are naturally voracious eaters. ８月下旬。 ニセコ/積丹エリアでのガンガンの深瀬の川底から引っ張り出したのは… イカつい形相のオス。 現場についてまず釣り人が考えるべきことは… １. 川底の形状を理解する 2. 流水の構造を理解する 3. 以上の２点からその場に優先して定位しているであろう個体の位置を推測する 4. 適切なルアーを選びトライする …という運びとなる。 狙ってこうした魚を釣ってゆくためには釣り人に相当な「 経験 」が必要だが、、 大抵の釣り人にはそんな多大な経験などないのが 普通だから… そこをいかにガイドが説明で埋めてあげることができるかどうかだ。 これがつまりガイドフィッシングであるというわけだ。 普通の釣り人ならば数十年も試行錯誤の繰り返しでかかるような経験を、、 わずか数日で得られるわけだから。。 その価値は計り知れない。

When arriving at the fishing spot, the first things an angler should consider are:

”大型のレインボートラウトなるもの” をぜひ釣ってみたい！ …という要望で臨んだゲスト。 お見事。 大型の野生レインボー… 流水でのドリフトボートの釣りどころか… こうした深い本流域での釣りでさえも全てが「 初体験 」 となる人は少なくない。 深く広大な流域を持つ「 本流 」というのは一般的には釣り人を気軽に寄せ付けない地形であることがほとんど。 何気なくYoutubeで紹介されているポイントなどに手探りで１人いってみたところで、一体どこをどのようにして釣ったら良いのか皆目検討もつかない。。。 というのが普通。 人間というのは確信を持てない行動を実行し継続することは難しい。 多くの場合にそれは続かないのである。 続かないから結果も出ない、そして結果が伴わないからますます続けられない。 …という悪循環に陥るのである。 結果的に歩いて小さなトラウトばかりがたくさん釣れる「 小渓流 」ばかりしかやっていないという人がものすごく多いが、それではいつまで経っても大型のトラウトにはなかなか辿り着かない… というわけだ。 大型個体の住まう”本流”というポイントの攻略にガイドフィッシングを利用してみることを勧める一番の理由がこれである。

And they did it brilliantly. A large, wild rainbow trout. For many people, not only is fishing from a drift boat in flowing water a first-time experience, but even fishing in these deep main river channels is entirely new to them.
The "main river" areas, with their deep and vast stretches, often have topography that doesn't easily invite anglers to approach casually. Even if someone ventures out alone to a spot they saw casually introduced on YouTube, they likely have no clue where or how to fish effectively.
That’s normal.
It’s difficult for people to take and sustain actions without a clear sense of confidence. Most of the time, this means they won’t stick with it.
Without persistence, results don’t come. And when results don’t follow, it becomes even harder to keep going—a vicious cycle.
As a result, many anglers end up fishing only small mountain streams where it’s easy to catch numerous smaller trout. But in doing so, they’ll rarely, if ever, encounter large trout.
This is precisely why I recommend using guided fishing to tackle main river areas, where larger fish reside. It helps break the cycle and opens the door to entirely new experiences and results.

An angler currently in the midst of trial and error with their usual style, "minnowing." When using minnows as lures to target wild trout in flowing waters like this, their strengths and weaknesses become very apparent.
Minnows are excellent for quickly covering a wide area and picking off the active fish in a short amount of time.
On the other hand, compared to metal lures like spoons or metal jigs, minnows have a significant drawback: it’s much harder to deliver them to the desired "depth." This is something anyone can understand, given how frequently metal lures are used in lake and ocean fishing across various styles.
It’s easy to think of main river channels as an "in-between" zone, bridging small mountain streams with lakes or oceans.
There are certainly situations where minnows can be used effectively. However, when it comes to targeting large fish in specific spots, metal lures excel in their ability to pinpoint and perform in such environments.

「ここはねー 間違いなくイイのがいてるとこだよー！ 」 …とガイドに言われたお客さんは。。 普段の得意のミノーイングで水面を狙ってみてもなんの反応もなし… 「 ちょっとやってみせてください 」 …でガイドが深瀬の底を狙っていきなりデッカいレインボーをヒット＆キャッチ。。 １日目はそれで終了。 ２日目。 生憎の雨で増水。。 今度はまたしてもガイドだけが中層のスイミングでキャッチ。。。 ３日目。 彼のチャンスはやってきた。 １日目 と同じ状況から今度は最初からガイドの釣り方を見よう見まねでやって… ドスン！！ グラスファイバー製のウルトラライトの竿は当然のことながら満月のように曲がり、ドラグは大逆転。。 ラインはナイロン１号なのだから無理もできない。 寄せては走られを繰り返すこと７～８分。。 ついにガイドのネットにおさまって… 破顔一笑！ …というワケ。 自分一人で手探りでやるならば数十年かかってしまうような経験をたった数日で得られる。 これがガイドフィッシングの魅力である。
"This spot definitely has some big ones!" said the guide confidently.
The guest, trusting those words, tried fishing the surface with their usual minnowing technique—but there was no response at all.
"Let me show you how it’s done," said the guide. Targeting the bottom of a deep pool, they quickly hooked and landed a massive rainbow trout. That was the end of day one.
On day two, the rain caused the water levels to rise. Once again, it was only the guide who managed to catch a fish, this time by swimming a lure in the mid-depths.
Then came day three. His chance had finally arrived. In a situation identical to day one, the guest mimicked the guide’s technique from the very beginning…
Wham!
The ultra-light fiberglass rod bent like a full moon, the drag screamed in reverse, and the fight was on. With only 4lb (1号) nylon line, he couldn’t force the fish in. Over and over, the fish surged and ran, while he carefully worked to bring it closer. After seven or eight minutes of intense battle, it finally slipped into the guide’s net.
A triumphant smile spread across his face.
And that’s the story.

１０月以降もニジマスに関しては好機が続く。 １１月中旬の道南２区でのキャッチ。 魚がいる場所というのは決まっているが問題はその「 狙い方 」にあると言い切っていい。 どんなものにも決定的なコツというものが存在するが、この河川内での良型ニジマスの釣りに関してはまさにそれ。 そして… これも事実だが近年のアングラーたちは９９％が”的外れ”な釣り方をしている傾向にある。 ハッキリと理由を挙げるとその一番の理由は「 釣具メーカーが作り出す流行 」 にある。 ベイトリール。 PEライン。 高価なミノー。 この３点が全ての原因。 これらを使っているから「 釣れない 」 ということに気づける人は多くない。。。 実戦叩き上げのガイドが「 結果を出すためだけに 」選ぶタックルはいずれもみなそれとは全く違うタックルなのである。

Here’s an example: a successful catch in mid-November in Zone 2 of Southern Hokkaido. While the locations where fish can be found are consistent, the key lies entirely in how you target them.
Every form of fishing has a definitive “trick,” and this is especially true when it comes to catching quality rainbow trout in these rivers.
That said, it’s also a fact that 99% of anglers in recent years tend to use techniques that completely miss the mark.
The main reason for this can be summed up clearly: it lies in the “trends created by tackle manufacturers.”
Baitcasting reels, PE lines, expensive minnows—these three elements are the root causes.
The truth is, many anglers don’t realize that using these is precisely why they’re not catching fish.

Originally, we had planned a drift fishing trip on the main river, but it was canceled due to snowfall. Instead, we switched to wading in a mountain stream, which resulted in a successful catch.
This time of year is quiet and allows for relaxed fishing, so I highly recommend it as a guide. However, it seems that many people lose interest in fishing during this season, perhaps because they aren’t fond of the cold.
But it’s precisely in these less crowded months that great opportunities arise.
Anglers who specialize in targeting large fish should definitely consider focusing more on this winter season.
初冬的穿搭大致如下：胸高防水裤配上带有保温层的外套。
原本计划进行的本流漂流钓因降雪而无法进行……于是改为徒步在溪流中作钓，成功收获了一条鱼。
这个季节安静悠闲，非常适合慢慢享受钓鱼时光，因此作为导钓我非常推荐。然而，似乎有不少人因为不耐寒而对这个时节的钓鱼失去兴趣。
但正因为人少，这种时候反而有更多的机会。
